The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the main group to begin their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to head next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then paid off his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This means them few options but to head to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Fans can expect finding out which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
